Hip Hop & Truth stuck together cuz they GO together!
About

The founder of grew up around celebrities and a lot of music hall of famers.

After graduating college, went to work for different hip hop entities such as Ruff Ryders Dirty Denim (DMX, Eve, the Lox), Roc-A-Wear, and Big Snoop Dogg clothing.  A stint in fashion and entertainment provided plenty of access to exclusive and private hollywood life but more importantly it showed that many of the most successful rappers have left the thug life far behind and now have great life & business lessons to teach...if they choose to teach them...

Purpose
www.hiphoptruth.com exists to help combat the negative impacts of derogatory music and to promote the positive outcomes that are possible if we begin to share the wealth of knowledge and practices toward already learned by those of us who have become successful - - life experiences in music exposed The founder of www.hiphoptruth.com to three important but different realities for music, especially Hip Hop.
1. Rappers really enjoy hustling legally (through owning legal businesses)
2. Most rap music doesn't teach about hustling legally
3. Rappers would rap about positive things if WE purchased more positive music, unfortunately many a rapper has told us directly that they say negative things because simply put "it sells" and they want to rap to make money - consumers are basically asking for more negative music by purchasing it

Motivation
After sitting in on meetings and business functions that included notables such as Russell Simmons, Xzibit, Snoop Doggy Dogg, DMX, Eve, Jay-Z, P. Diddy, and many others The founder of www.hiphoptruth.com noticed that the super successful rappers are not uninformed, lazy, or interested in going to jail.   They are actually businessmen & businesswomen who tirelessly grinded toward maximizing the next business deal were observed.  So why do we mostly hear songs about how to sex a girl or "trap"???  Why don't we hear music teaching the next generation how to hustle "legally" the way these rappers have turned to doing - remember even Biggie Smalls gave up drug dealing for rapping, and many rappers are glad that they can do the same, rap legally instead of selling drugs illegally.

Because it makes money.  Because people like you buy it.
Because Christians, Muslims, do-gooders, & even parents...buy it.

Unfortunately, sharing tips on how to translate street sense into positive, blessable, business sense is something that our rap stars have mastered but they don't share it the music enough. Unfortunately the  music often encourages the listener to be lustful or drug dealing slangin rocks.

The founder of www.hiphoptruth.com was convicted by the Holy Spirit and felt strongly that this BUSINESS side of Hip Hop needs to be magnified & passed on to the next genration.

Replace Street with Spirit & Success
The founder of www.hiphoptruth.com has a strong desire to replace the negative criminal minded teachings about who today's rap artists USED to be in their street life before achieving musical fame and fortune with positive examples of the savvy business people that those artists have BECOME. We at hiphoptruth.com would like to see more light shone on how a hip hop "hustler" mindset can be used to get OUT of the street life into a spirit minded life and legitimate success like Rev. Run.

The passion to share more about the benefits of leaving behind criminal or lustful lifestyles, similarly to how successful rap artists have left those lifestyles behind to become business men/business women, motivated the launch of www.hiphoptruth.com a website that celebrates following the positive successes of Hip Hop and warns against following the negative messaging in rap music.
